Review: Hodgson Mill Pancake Mix

I've been in the mood for some healthier pancakes. I like to make a batch of pancakes to take to work and eat in the morning for fuel. So I tried out a Hodgson Mill pancake mix. I've used their Buckwheat Pancake mix before and loved it. This time I bought the Multi Grain Buttermilk Pancake with Milled Flax Seed and Soy.

From the website:
"A mix of delicious, 100% whole grains with the unsurpassed nutrition of added flax seed and soy makes this unique pancake mix a healthful and tasty new way to enjoy a pancake breakfast! Each serving provides over 6 grams of Soy Protein plus 450 mg of Omega-3 Oils per serving. High in fiber and cholesterol free, Hodgson Mill's MultiGrain Buttermilk Pancake Mix is a perfect combination of healthy nutrition and hearty whole grain flavor."

Verdict: Yummy! And very nutritious. I love the chewy texture and they were delicious dipped in real maple syrup. I made about 8 little pancakes last night for the rest of the week.

Product Review: Jell-o Mousse Temptations

I've been a fan of chocolate mousse since I was about 5 or 6 years old. I rarely have it though because I don't make it and don't usually look for it anywhere. But when I saw this product at the grocery store I thought I would give it a try! Even though it is made with an artificial sweetener, I decided that its small portion size was worth it.

Jell-o Mousse Temptations
Chocolate Indulgence
$2.50 (six-pack)
1 serving = 1 container
60 cal, 3 g fat, 2 g protein, sugar-free, 1 WW point

The Verdict: Amazing! I love the light and airy consistency and deep chocolate flavor! The serving size is a perfect way to satisfy a sweet craving. Many products with artificial sweeteners often have a fake, too-sweet taste, but not these little guys!

A+

You say tomato...[Product Review]

...I say Cherubs!! These are hands down some of the best tasting tomatoes I've ever had. They are worth the almost $4 price tag at the grocery store. I've eaten these babies for 2 weeks in a row now...with a salad for lunch everyday. It's hard to find good tomatoes this time of year, and these little rubies are perfect!!

Not your average diet food [Product Review]

Holy crap this stuff is good! I've been feeling pretty crummy today with 2 ear infections and a fever. I didn't feel like cooking and other than some OJ I basically haven't eaten all day! (I miss having mommy and daddy take care of me 24/7--dad's milkshakes were the best!) I had some frozen dinners in my freezer for a rainy day and, well, that was today for me! This is absolutely my favorite 'diet' food ever! It's really yummy...hit the spot tonight for sure. I also keep a bunch of these in the freezer at work.

Just my $0.02 for the day! I'm off to bed...
